Garden News
Greetings from the Garden Committee!
We continue to be busy cleaning out our garden boxes and getting them ready for winter. We appreciate all of you who donated lawn bags for us to get this done. The garden boxes will be covered with leaves and grass clippings so that the beds can rest over the winter months. Several of us received a load of free mulch for our students to put under the lower elementary window for the log maze area.
Cowles Girl Scouts have continued to be busy sanding, painting, and making our outdoor furniture beautiful! In addition, they have done several other outdoor benches, a picnic table, and another electrical spool. If you have time to walk around the building, be sure to notice the excellent work they have done.
We ordered our first set of outdoor instruments at the beginning of November with the plan to put them in the ground in the spring. We are so grateful to CMPG for sponsoring this endeavor. We can’t wait to see our playground grow!
Garden Needs:
- We need all sizes of garden gloves; with so many students using them, they wear out quickly.
- We were also wondering if anyone has a connection to get metal signs printed for our outdoor play areas. We want to put up a sign stating what each area is to be used for so that all who visit the playground know our expectations. Please let one of us know if you can help with this.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of our outdoor space.
