H.S. Course Selection
High School Course Selections
Class of 2026. 2027, 2028 and 2029, Course Selections must be posted by Friday, February 14th. The course portal will close on Monday, February 17th. No exceptions.

Dual enrollment class of 2026 & 2027
Members of the classes of 2026 and 2027 at MTRS also have the opportunity to register for Dual Enrollment coursework outside of the school day. Dual Enrollment courses can be taken in person or online, and funding is available. One of the requirements for scheduling a dual enrollment course is completion of the Accuplacer Placement test. The registration process at the local colleges will open later this spring, but GCC is graciously offering to administer this placement test at MTRS on Tuesday 2/25/2025 during block 1 and advisory. If your child is considering dual enrollment as an option, please encourage them to complete this very brief form.
Transcripts
ATTENTION SENIORS!!
Mid year transcripts have been sent to all colleges on a student's list in Naviance. If a college contacts you requesting a mid year transcript, please let them know that your high school sent it out on 2/5/2025 via Naviance / Parchment.
💲💲SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION💲💲
Attention Class of 2025 Students and Families,
The 2025 scholarship season is in full swing! Last year, the class of 2024 received over $100,000 in scholarships!
Click here for the Official Student Services Scholarship Bulletin. Scholarships will be listed here as they become available. Local scholarships are numerous and more are still coming in, so PLEASE check the bulletin regularly. ALSO, check out the Scholarship Board in the Student Services office, where a lot of QR codes can be scanned for applications. This bulletin is also on the Student Services website.

IN ADDITION to FAFSA, some schools require the CSS Profile. Check your school's financial aid site to see if it is required.

The Student Services office will meet with the seniors in February as more scholarships come in.
The STARS College Network, which partners with top colleges to ensure that students from rural and small-town America have the information and support they need to enroll and graduate from the college or university of their choice, is doubling its membership to include 32 of the nation’s most prominent institutions.
GCC Free IT for Health Care Training Program

It takes a village-MATRICULATE is a national nonprofit that provides free virtual college advising to eligible high school students. The program is meant to complement and add an extra hand to the counseling students already receive.
The Class of 2026 application is open until August 31, 2025, or until the class is full. They will work with 3000+ students in the Class of 2026- each will be connected with a near-peer college mentor. These trained mentors use their near-peer expertise to work 1:1 with High School Fellows. They navigate college application and financial aid processes and encourage them along the way.

Some things that an Environmental Engineer does;
- Prepare and present reports on issues related to the environment
- Design systems that protect the environment
- Technical support for environmental remediation projects and for legal actions
- Monitor the progress of environmental improvement programs
- Inspect industrial and municipal facilities and programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Advise corporations, government agencies, and other interested parties about environmental issues, including procedures for cleaning up contaminated sites
