A Note from the Superintendent
Dear FSD 157-C Families,
November is the perfect time to express our gratitude to the students, staff, and families of Frankfort School District 157-C. It is the collective dedication of our school community that drives the exceptional educational experience we are proud to offer in District 157-C.
In addition, we are also thankful for the men and women who have served our country in the past and present. Students and staff at our three schools will dedicate time on Monday, November 11 to show their appreciation for our local veterans during the following school assemblies:
Hickory Creek: Veterans breakfast at 7:15 am followed by all school assembly at 8:00 AM
Grand Prairie: All school assembly at 9:15 am
Chelsea: All school assembly at 10:30 am
We encourage all guests who will attend our assemblies to stop by the main office at your child’s school prior to Friday, November 8 to be entered into our security system ahead of time. Please call your child’s school to arrange for your veteran’s credential badge.
Finally, please look for an email this Friday, November 1 for information about Parent/Teacher Conferences. As a reminder, Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26. We look forward to welcoming our families in partnership with our staff for this important event.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Doug Wernet, Ed.D.
Superintendent

Annual "Pink Out" Games for Breast Cancer Awareness
The annual "Pink Out" basketball games were held Tuesday, October 29 at 4:00 and 5:00 pm. The Tigers faced the Mokena Jr. High Meteors and batted hard! The "Pink Out" games are a way to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to honor women who are fighting cancer. We are still tallying the donations for the Susan G. Komen Foundation; thank you for your generosity!
