Message from the Principal
A heartfelt thank you to all the families and community members who joined us for our first annual Spring Family Extravaganza last week! We were especially honored to welcome Dr. Bulson and other central office staff who came out to support the event. A special thanks also goes to Mr. Cook, Principal of Homestead Wakefield, and Mr. DeLeva, Principal of Bel Air High, for taking part in the festivities.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of the evening. The biggest shout-out goes to Mrs. Attah and the Family Engagement Committee, along with staff and student volunteers, for their outstanding work in bringing it all together.
If you missed it this year, you won’t want to miss the next one! We’re gathering feedback and already planning to make next year’s event even better.
I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming Spring Break. Take the time to relax and enjoy life.
Sincerely, Principal Silk
Special Education Survey
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is seeking valuable feedback from families of students receiving special education and related services through the annual Maryland Parent Survey. This survey provides an opportunity for families to share input about their experiences throughout the Special Education process. MSDE measures response rates across the state and high participation rates are essential to ensure accurate and representative feedback for HCPS. Families have until May 30, 2025, to complete the survey. www.mdparentsurvey.com.
