Layers of Skin
The epidermis is the thinner layering the dermis is thicker and more complex. The dermis includes connected tissue, elastic fibers, nerve endings, muscles, hair follicles, oil and sweat glands.
Diseases and Treatments
•Athletes foot is a skin infection on your feet caused by fungus. It can cause blisters, redness, scaling, and itching. Some ways to prevent this is avoid walking barefoot in public places, keep toenails short, and change socks daily. Some treatments include using special cream and keeping your feet dry. You can visit a dermatologist for athletes foot.
•Acne is a disorder of oil and hair glands. It appears as red bumps and pimples on the face, chest, and back. Treatment includes vitamin A products, antibiotics, and washing your face. A dermatologist can treat this.
