1st Nine Weeks Counselor Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is Lilia Lopez and I am excited about serving your child/children during the 2024-25 school year as their School Counselor! This will be my 10th Year as a School Counselor at Grand Prairie ISD.

As we continue to face challenging times, I want you to be aware that I am available to assist your children with social/emotional needs. I am available to speak to you through various platforms.

GUIDANCE FOR THE MONTH

During the months of August and September Guidance, we will talk about the " Start with Hello Program" along with Self Awareness and Empathy. Start with Hello is a national initiative that allows for a more inclusive school community. There are three easy steps to Start with Hello: 1) see someone alone, 2) reach out and help, 3) Start by saying Hello.
