Snow Gear
Here are a few quick reminders to help things go more smoothly:
Every day there is snow on the ground please have your child dressed in snow pants, boots, winter coats, hats and gloves. We will be going outside every day unless the temperature is below zero. I know this week caught a lot of people off guard (myself included)! But please try to remember starting this week.
Also, please have your child put on their own snow gear each day. They need to learn how to button, tie, snap, zip, etc. all of their own snow gear and tennis shoes. There is one of me and 27 of them. I especially need children to know how to tie their own shoes. As parents it might be easier to do it for them but in the long run it's much better that they learn to do it by themselves.
Please have your child bring his/her snow gear in a separate bag. A simple recycling bag works great because it's lightweight and big. I have the children put their snow gear in the bag in the morning and after lunch. It makes things so much easier if they have a separate bag because their papers won't get all wet.
One last thing, please put your child's names on all of his/her snow items. If names aren't in snow pants by Wednesday I will write your child's initials on their pants (unless I hear that you don't want me to).
Thank you so much for your help!
