Happy New Year, LLMEA!

As we embark on the second half of the year, I am delighted to welcome you to a season filled with exciting events, performances and opportunities for growth. From festivals and adjudications to musicals and department trips, we as educators are providing something for everyone.

Be sure to take a close look at the calendar of events. I hope to see you all at our General Membership Meeting (online) on January 8th. It will be short and sweet!

We invite you to attend the winter LLMEA General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, January 8th. The meeting will take place online via Google Meet. The meeting agenda and meet link will be emailed out by Monday, January 6th. This meeting is for ALL K-12 LLMEA Music Educators. If you have a new member in your district, please encourage them to attend. We aim to keep our meetings short, sweet and to the point! We hope to see you there!

Please take time to check out our LLMEA website. ALL K-12 directors are listed in the membership directory. If you need to make any changes, there is a form included to fill out. If you or someone you know/trust is a private teacher, we are looking to continue adding to our private teacher directory as well. Our goal is to continue updating our website to include more resources for our students as well as our elementary music educators! We are making progress. https://www.llmea.org

We are thrilled to present our very first LLMEA Scholarship to a graduating senior. Please share this information with your music seniors so that they may apply. Applications are DUE BY MARCH 15, 2025.

TOTY & PTOTY Awards nominations have closed. We had quite a few submissions this year. Thank you! Our award recipients will be notified in March and honored at our banquet in April.

In the event of inclement weather on the day of a festival, LLMEA will post any schedule changes or cancellations on our Instagram (@llmea_pa) and our website (llmea.org). We will also email the festival directors as well. Please encourage your students participating in festivals to follow us on Instagram.
