What is TouchChat?
TouchChat is a full-featured communication app solution for students who have difficulty using their natural voice. TouchChat is designed for students with Autism, Down Syndrome, apraxia, or other conditions that affect a student's ability to use natural speech. The TouchChat App can be used throughout the student's schedule and activities with various vocab files and easily edited pages to fit the needs of the student. This is a paid app that can be downloaded on an IPAD or Iphone which enables speech generated words and sentences to be created and activated by the AAC user.

Troubleshooting
- If the iPad freezes on TouchChat and you cannot activate buttons or get out of the app, try a hard reset (hold home and sleep button until it turns off, then turn it on)
- TouchChat menu password reset - if there is a menu passcode that you set up then forgot, there is an override (SALTILLO spelled out on a keypad - 72584556). You can use this to access the menu and change the password if needed. the above resources has a place that you can organize this information for the future!
