A Note from the Office
Happy New Year! As we begin 2025, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on goals and set intentions for the months ahead. At school, we’re encouraging students to think about how they can grow—whether it’s being kinder, trying harder, or helping others.
This month, we’ll also honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., celebrating his message of hope, equality, and the power of working together to make the world a better place. It’s a meaningful reminder for all of us to strive for kindness and understanding in everything we do.
Wishing you a bright and inspiring start to the new year!
Be well,
Evan Chelman, Principal

Staffing Updates
School Adjustment Counselor
Ms. Jessica Margolin will be leaving Parmenter after a few years of incredible service as our Adjustment Counselor. Ms Margolin embodies all characteristics of an impactful, supportive counselor. She collaborates with colleagues, communicates with families, and goes above and beyond to work with students, helping them to strengthen the skills they need to be good humans and students! We wish Ms Margolin luck in her next chapter as a counselor at Randolph High School. Her final day will be Friday the 17th of January. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
k-2 ESP and Interventionist
We would like to welcome two new staff members to Parmenter. Mrs. Nikki Morris began her role as an interventionist on Monday the 6th. She has previously taught elementary school in Florida and also worked as an interventionist there too. Her family has moved to Franklin and she's excited to begin her "Massachusetts Chapter" with us! Welcome!
Ms Danielle Vendetti will begin as a k-2 ESP on January 23rd. She's currently working as a Teacher's Assistant in Cumberland and is very much looking forward to being in Franklin, at Parmenter. She will predominantly be working with first grade staff and students, but may spend some time in second grade and kindergarten. Welcome!
Please read the above link with snow information. We have already struggled to show up with appropriate gear, ready for the elements. Please have a conversation with your student about throwing snow and recess expectations in the snow.
Thank you for your support
