This survey was given to our families, students, and staff back in September and again this month. The survey will be facilitated by Leader In Me in partnership with the WSD. This link is unique to our building, so if you have kids in multiple schools, please check their newsletter to answer questions for that building.

Four candidates will be on the ballot for two open seats in the April 8, 2025, election. The open seats are currently held by Katie Lyczak and Julie Scott, and each open seat is for a three-year term. Read more.

On April 8, the WSD is bringing Prop L—a zero-rate-change bond proposal—to the voters. If passed Prop L would fund items such as:

• Enhanced safety and security measures district-wide
• Renovated legacy buildings such as Heritage Elementary, Wentzville Middle, and Holt High School
• Resurfaced playgrounds at all WSD elementary schools
• Replaced turf at Holt, Liberty, and Timberland high schools' athletic fields; and more

Does your child start kindergarten next fall? If your answered, yes, you may register them for a Kindergarten screening by scanning the QR Code or selecting the button below!

All children who will turn five before August 1, 2025, are eligible to attend kindergarten. To register your child for kindergarten, follow the steps below:

• Complete a kindergarten screening. If your child has not been screened at their preschool, daycare, or at the Parents as Teachers office you may sign up for a screening here. Children who have not been screened yet will complete their screening at the registration event. Appointment required for screening.
• Create an account (or login) on Focus School Software, complete the online application process, and submit the required items within Focus School Software.
  
• Get excited and stay tuned for updates from your child’s school as we gear up for the upcoming school year!

Discovery Ridge’s 15th annual talent show will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at 9:15 (3rd-5th grade) and 1:30(K-2nd grade). Students who are in the Talent Show will perform at both times. This is a great time to show your school how talented you are! Talent show try-outs will be on Thursday, May 1 after school. You MUST have a permission slip in order to try out. Also, please note that try-outs will go in the order that permission slips are received. Tryouts will be limited to the first 75 acts. Tryout permission slips will be sent home on Monday, April 21. Please make sure that if you are trying out, you are also able to come to the dress rehearsal on Tuesday, May 20 and the talent show on Wednesday, May 21. Liberty High School is hosting their annual summer camp! Activities include age appropriate dance, art & crafts, and lots of games to keep your camper entertained! Camp is at Liberty High School, June 9-13, 2025. The camp is for students entering grades K-8 for the '25-'26 school year. Register by May 22 to guarantee a shirt.

Throughout the duration of the academic year, the Wentzville School District partners with community agencies that specialize in providing students, families, and educators with preventative education. Agency presenters are credentialed, coordinated through the District, and under the supervision of building administrators. Presentation topics are targeted toward specific grade levels. All students will participate in each program unless you choose to opt your child out of the lesson(s).
