One very important piece of educating the whole child is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). This year we strive to align our work with a common SEL language through Harmony SEL that teaches students emotion management, situational awareness, problem-solving strategies, and empathy. At JROB we are working toward implementing a schoolwide program to give our students TK-8 a common language to communicate and solve problems. At our next parent workshop, we'll share the work we're doing so families can support us in the process as well.

With our LBUSD Vision 2035 Core Values at the center of our work, we strive to give our students the vocabulary and self-regulation tools at an early age ensures a path to success at school and beyond. I look forward to the work we're doing together to support student success academically, behaviorally, and emotionally.
