PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
CHSPS is an unbelievable school with a dedicated and professional Staff, committed to Public Education in a diverse rural setting. Some of the Staff at CHSPS live within walking distance from the school while many of the Staff at CHSPS travel further from other towns and small cities. We all come to serve CHSPS because we choose to be part of something incredibly special. As Principal, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Staff, Families and surrounding Communities. I am PROUD to lead OUR school.
Although we may be faced with a number of challenges on any given day, we collaborate, exercise patience and seek to understand a variety of situations in order to persevere together. Not everyone has access to the fine details on how situations are dealt with (i.e., Student discipline, budget decisions, human resources items) but things are always communicated transparently by the school. We are also happy to answer questions based on the information we have at the school level. Our doors and phone lines are always open for conversations and we appreciate those opportunities.
Our ability to serve selflessly comes from the ongoing support of our Families and Community. From meetings to volunteering, we are fortunate to have such an amazing network of people helping us. Thank you for reaching out, cheerleading, bringing your perspective and being open minded when times seem chaotic or when times are just steadily cruising along. Together, we can all be the best version of ourselves…it is what ALL our Students deserve.
As I enter my fourth year as Principal of CHSPS know that I will continue to advocate for what’s best for Students (i.e., making necessary changes to sports, fine arts and other programs, ensuring classes like Shop continue to run, working together with School Council and local businesses for beneficial opportunities, scheduling/attending meetings to facilitate transparent/informative conversations, etc.). I can’t think of any other place I would wholeheartedly want to be than Central High Sedgewick Public School.
Thank you for contributing to the success of our school. Health and wellness to you all. Here is to an unbelievable 2024-2025 school year!

BUS FRIENDS?
What is the procedure if a child wants to bring a friend home on the bus?
Giving as much notice as possible, both sets of parents must communicate with the bus driver. The parents of the regular rider and the parents of the guest need to give permission to driver by phone/text/written note.
- If there is enough room on the bus and the driver agrees, a guest can ride home with another student. No bus pass will be necessary for the one-time rider.
Both sets of parents should communicate with the school’s office notifying them of the change and confirming that the bus driver is aware. Email chsps-aa@brsd.ab.ca
FRUIT FUNDRAISER
