Students in grades 3-5 will continue with Georgia Milestones testing this week. In the past, Rosebud students perform well on the Georgia Milestones. To keep this trend going, we ask that you make sure students go to bed early and get to school on time. This will allow for a calm and relaxing morning.

Rosebud teachers work hard for our students, and this is the week to let them know how much you appreciate them! See below for more information on our theme for this special week.

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade will take District Assessments on May 7th & 8th in the mornings.

Please try to schedule absences or appointments around these testing dates. Students perform better when testing with their teacher in a familiar environment, as opposed to a make-up group with a different teacher and classroom

Field Day will be from 10am-2pm each day. Don't forget to bring a waterbottle and tennis shoes!

Join us for a spectacular night of family fun on Friday, May 16th from 6:00pm-8:30pm. We can't wait to celebrate and end the year with a bang! Lawn chairs are encouraged.

Save the Date! The 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be Tuesday, May 20th at 5:30pm. This event will be held at Church on Main in Snellville. 5th Grade teachers will be sharing additional information about this event with students.

South Gwinnett Athletic Association (SGAA) is providing upcoming walk-up registration for the 2025 Football Season. Learn more on their website at https://www.sgaasports.com/football.

Students love being a car rider in the morning to get their last-minute time in with you. Remember that the car rider lane closes at 8:10 AM, so if you are late to the car rider lane and the side doors are closed, you will have to come around the front of the building to drop your children off.

🚗The car rider lane closes at 3:10 PM in the afternoon. Please make sure to pick up your child by 3:10 PM.

🚗If you have transportation changes, you need to email rosebudtransportation@gcpsk12.org to notify the front office BEFORE 12 PM.

The Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Program (GSNS) is a school choice program available for special needs students attending Georgia public schools who are served under an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 Plan. You can read more about your options through this program here.

As a means of improving results for children with disabilities, the Georgia Department of Education is required to survey families of students receiving special education services. If you have a student receiving special education services in Gwinnett County, you are eligible to participate in this year's survey process. This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard.

The feedback you share will help guide local schools' efforts to improve Special Education services and results for children and families. The survey is available on-line and can be accessed on the Georgia Department Education website. You may enter the following direct link into your browser https://survey.gadoe.org/SPEDParentSurvey.

Enrich your family with four R's! To create a family life that will support your child's efforts in school, keep four R's in mind: Routines, Rules, Responsibilities and Rituals. Routines make things go more smoothly by helping kids know what's coming next. Rules let them know where the boundaries are. Responsibilities teach them to care for themselves and others. And family rituals, such as a Friday pizza night, bring everyone closer. Learn more here!

Does your child have an upcoming birthday? Looking for a unique way to celebrate?

You can help make your child's birthday extra special by putting their name in lights! For $15, you can have your child's name displayed on our school marquee as well as on the schoolwide eClass page for a day. Place your order on mypaymentsplus.com.

We are unable to schedule birthday messages on our marquee in the summer. If your child has a summer birthday that you would like to recognize early, you can choose a May display date for your child!

• If you would like to purchase Spirit Wear, you can shop here and show your school pride! Items ordered will be sent home with your child within 1-2 days.

• Was your child absent one day this week? Remember to send in an excuse note for any student absences. This can be a personal note, a doctor's note, or a simple message to your child's teacher through Parent Square.
  

• Please remember that student checkout stops at 2:00 each day, as we begin to prepare for dismissal at that time.

• We understand that transportation changes can occur on occasion. Please be sure to email RosebudTransportation@gcpsk12.org by 12noon to communicate any changes to our staff.

• All parents who enter the building must have an ID. Please make sure to always have your ID with you when visiting Rosebud ES for any reason.
