A Message from Assistant Principal Zaccaria
Bringing healthy snacks to middle school is a great way for students to stay energized and focused throughout the day. Nutritious options like fruits, vegetables, yogurt, nuts, and whole-grain snacks provide lasting energy, helping students concentrate better in class and stay active during after-school activities.
Healthy snacks also contribute to students’ overall well-being, supporting growth and development, as well as promoting good eating habits. By choosing snacks low in added sugars and rich in vitamins and minerals, students can fuel their bodies and minds effectively, setting themselves up for success both in and out of the classroom.
We would to see healthier snacks and water bottles sent with our students. Please remember that non-water drinks are reserved for lunchtime only. Water is the only drink permitted in our classrooms and hallways, as it keeps students hydrated without added sugars or distractions. By prioritizing healthy snacks and water, we can help create a positive learning environment that promotes good health and concentration for all our students.
