Greetings Glendale Families-

We are just one month away as we gear up for the start of another school year! We are working hard to ensure that our building is ready to welcome students and staff back in September. We are excited to Light the Way this year with new programs, events, and initiatives that will enhance the educational experience for all of our Panthers. We can't wait to see familiar faces and meet new families as we come together as a Glendale community.

For new families to Glendale, we extend a warm welcome as you join our school community. We are thrilled to have you as part of our family and look forward to getting to know you better. Our PTA Sponsored Ice Cream Social on August 21st from 4-6 is a great opportunity to meet other families, connect with staff, and learn more about what Glendale has to offer. We hope you can join us for this fun event!

As we continue to navigate the challenges of the past year, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all of our students. Our dedicated staff is working tirelessly to ensure that our building is clean, organized, and ready for the return of students in September. We are confident that this will be a successful and rewarding school year for everyone involved.

We are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead and the chance to make lasting memories with our Glendale families and Panthers. Together, we will "Light the Way" as we celebrate Lighthouse Status and create a positive and enriching environment for all of our students. This year we welcome Ms. Canetti and Mrs. Weber to our 4th grade team! They will join Miss Ciehomski and Mr. Dunstan to complete our amazing 4th Grade Team for the 24-25 school year! In addition, we welcome Mrs. Piatek and Miss Land to 2nd Grade! They will join Mrs. Heslin to complete a dynamic team in 2nd Grade!

We are thrilled to welcome Miss Stein to our first grade team this year! Her experience as a building based substitute for Glendale, participation on our student lighthouse team, and ability to connect with our Panthers make her a valuable addition to our team.

We are excited to welcome Miss Jarvis to our exceptional classroom team working with our 2nd and 3rd grade students as Mrs. Braun will be transitioning to a Consultant Teacher Role within the building Co-Teaching. Miss Jarvis will be a great addition to our exceptional classrooms with her strong background in special education and commitment to student leadership and athletic coaching opportunities, we know she will make a positive impact on our students' lives here at Glendale.

In addition we are excited to welcome back Mrs. Andrea Jarvis back as a long-term substitute teacher for Mrs. Braun as she will be out on maternity leave until January as we await for the arrival of her twin girls!

We are excited to get our students K-5 back into the cafeteria full time this year. While spacing still becomes an issue in our building, strategizing how we could utilize the space and collaborating with our custodial team was a success. We will be working together with teachers, staff and our students to make sure that we are reviewing our expectations in the cafeteria and making sure that our BIG 3 Rocks of LISTEN, LEARN, and BE SAFE are happening.

Students will be able to purchase ice cream the last ten minutes of their lunch time. Ice Cream is $1 and we ask that small dollar bills are brought in however we strongly encourage you to sign up for School Bucks using the following link:
