We want our students to be college and career ready. We have two ways we can support them in achieving this goal. One is Texas College Bridge and the other is the Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2 (TSIA2). Students who are in the following classes will participate in Texas College Bridge during the second nine weeks.
Mrs. Harbison's English 4
Coach Powell's Independent Studies in Math (ISM)
Coach Gray and Ms. Wood's Financial Math
Students who are in the following classes will take the TSIA2.
Mrs. Menges and Coach Powell's geometry and Honors Geometry
Coach Harbison and Mrs. Maynard's Honors Algebra 2 and Algebra 2
Mrs. Curtis and Mrs. Collins' English 3
We feel it is important for students to show college readiness even though attending college may not be their plan at this time. Things often change, and we want them to be as prepared as possible for any option down the road. Please find information below on these two programs.

Qustodio will allow parents to gain visibility of their children's online activity on their school-issued devices, as well as on one personal device per child, helping to ensure online protection. Click the link below to our website, go to the "parents" tab, and the Qustodio information will be at the bottom.

Attendance is so VERY important!
We need your student at school every day unless there is a legitimate reason like an illness.
High school students are working on credits required for graduation. Part of the Texas Compulsory Attendance Law requires students be in class 90% of the time in each class. That means that after TEN absences, a student is in jeopardy of losing credits needed to graduate!

Prepare for SUCCESS
SHHS wants every student to be successful. A large part of that success comes from student engagement in the classroom. In order to ensure each moment of class time is utilized for learning, students will be required to turn off their cell phones and leave them in their backpacks for the duration of class. Students may access their phones during transition periods and at lunch. We appreciate your support with this needed request.
