May Sands Montessori is continuing to work closely with the Monroe County School District as well as the National Weather Service to keep families updated with the school closures for Hurricane Milton. At this point, we are still planning to be open tomorrow Tuesday, October 8th.

We will be updating all families on the plan for Wednesday, October 9th.

October 14th- No School, Professional Day

October 17th- Monster Mash, come and join our school family as we party the night away! Costumes are encouraged at this event (no full face masks or weapons allowed).

NJHS will be hosting the annual haunted house. Admission is $1 per ticket.

October 18th and 25th - Early Dismissal for Family Teacher Conferences. Be on the look out for sign ups for these from your Lead Guides as well as here in the Weekly Wave.

October 31st- Historical Halloween- All students will share the opportunity to dress up as a historical figure on this fun day! Please be on the lookout for more information about this fun filled day.

Thank you to the 28 families that have already chosen their committee(s) and fundraiser to assist in. We have a total of 68 families and if you have not signed up by Friday, we will continue to make individual requests to get you to sign up. Remember, this is part of your Contract of Commitment and not an option.

• Aftercare Themes! Each week we will have themed days to engage and inspire our friends in our aftercare program. Rates are $15/student each day, siblings are $5 additional. Open to K-8th grade.

  • Tasty Tuesday Cooking Club- Get Cooking, Get Tasting!
  • Whimsical Wednesday Crafts- Let Your Creativity Shine!
  • Dungeons and Dragons- Students who sign up for this experience will meet regularly as a group to delve into dungeons, work as a cohesive team, figure out interesting puzzles, meet exciting characters and role play a hero!
