It's a Wonderful Time of Year!
Winter sports and activities are in full swing, we have had Holiday Concerts, and we are in the midst of the longest stretch of uninterrupted learning days of the semester. As we approach the final stretch before winter break, I want to extend a friendly reminder about the importance of these last two weeks. This period offers a valuable opportunity to consolidate learning, tie up loose ends, and celebrate the achievements of the semester.
For students, these weeks are a chance to showcase your dedication and commitment to your studies. Stay engaged in class, utilize resources available to you, and ask questions—it's a fantastic way to reinforce your understanding of the material and prepare for any upcoming assessments.
Parents, your continued support during this time is incredibly valuable. Encourage your child to stay focused, maintain a healthy balance between study and relaxation, and celebrate their hard work and progress.
Let's make these remaining days of 2023 count. Embrace the joy of learning, support one another, and finish strong before a well-deserved winter break.
Wishing everyone a restful and joyful winter break!

Scarlet Express
Our student-run coffee had it's grand opening on November 21st. Students in our interior design class, with the help of ISG , created the design of the shop. Web Construction partnered with our construction students in the remodeling of the space. Students in our Sales and Marketing class created the branding. Two students, Maddie Bode and Delaney Giesen, are doing an internship in business and they are managing the shop. They created the menu, set the prices, did all of the ordering, set up the shop, and were trained on the equipment by Bean's Coffee. They provided training to students in our special education programs who are working in the shop. As you can see, this project is full of partnerships and collaboration, all while being student centered.
This is an example of future focused education:
- real world experiences
- community partnerships
- student connections to local industry
- all housed within our school
