WARRIORS INSPIRE
FINISH STRONG
Dear Warrior Families:
Happy Monday!!! I hope you had a great weekend and that the week back after Thanksgiving went well. It was a very busy weekend for our WARRIORS!!! Our boys and girls basketball teams kicked off their seasons with very competitive showings at CHS and in Pagosa Springs. Our boys and girls wrestling teams rocked the mats at their tournaments in Salem Hills, Utah...the boys placed 5th and the D51 Phoenix team won the tournament!!! Our indoor track runners competed in Bermuda, our choir performed, and our band marched in the Parade of Lights! We have students playing hockey for the Caprock Eagles team, and we also have three groups of students competing on our bowling team. Holiday Heroes will take place this Saturday, and our students are busy gathering items for the event. There are also many more competitions and performances this week, just check the calendar of events below. I couldn't be prouder of our students, teachers, and coaches who put in countless hours in preparation for all of these events!!
As our students and teachers finish the last week of regular classes before final exams, it is very important for students to be in class and communicating with their teachers to make sure any missing work is completed by Friday. If you have any questions, please reach out to our teachers and check to be sure. Grades earned for the first semester will be final on the semester transcript, and the last day of the quarter is next Friday, the 20th. I have included a link to the Final Exams schedule below, but students will have the opportunity to review and seek extra help each day.

The other exciting thing happening for our students is the Senior Meeting happening on Wednesday, December 11th. The meeting will be informational and important dates will be shared and posted as well. We have a high number of seniors who are also graduating at semester, so I want to congratulate our early grads on a job well done!!!
There will be more information to come about upcoming events for the final week, but I hope you have a wonderful week! Encourage your students to finish strong and communicate with teachers every day. Good luck to all of our competing and performing WARRIORS this week!!! Thank you for sharing your outstanding students with us every day.
Warm Regards,
Tracy

WARRIOR WELLNESS CLINIC/ATTENDANCE
WARRIOR WELLNESS CLINIC: Did you know that the Warrior Wellness Center offers dental cleanings?! Every Toothday (Tuesday ), we have our dental hygienist, Amber, in office. We accept walk-ins and appointments. From now until Winter Break, we’re holding a Holiday Giveaway where some lucky Central High student will win a Phillips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush, and a few extra treats from the WWC. Come in and answer a fun,
dental trivia question and get entered to win! We need parent/guardian permission to see any student under the age of 18, and these short forms are available in our office or online at www.chswarriorwellness.org. We look forward to helping keep our students healthy this school year, and please feel free to contact us with any questions!
ATTENDANCE/COUNSELING:
ATTENDANCE: Reminder that if your student misses school for illness, you have 48 hours to call and excuse your student. If you need to take your student out of class for an appointment, please provide 30 minutes of lead time for us to call your student down and out of class. Also, students who are more than 10 minutes late to a class are counted absent instead of tardy.
COUNSELING: Upcoming College Events
- Senior Google Classroom: This is for seniors and their parents. The site will include updates for seniors regarding college applications, scholarships, financial aid, workforce planning, and much more. The code to join the class is: bxfgsgk
ADMINISTRATION
ADMINISTRATION: As the weather gets cold, we do need to remind students and families to avoid the pajama pants and blankets. Please get dressed and ready to learn! Also continue to remember to follow the Cell Phone/Air Pod/Smart Watch Policy during class time.
Students who are found on campus and not in their regularly scheduled classes will be escorted back to class, and if found again on the same day, will be placed in ISS or suspended for the rest of the day.
Remember that your Student ID Badges need to be visible at all times. Please wear them on your lanyards or on a pocket clip. Badges are also required to get into athletic events and dances.
