August 13th, 2016 Welcome Back to Choir!

This Saturday at Wylie East, we have been a group of strong, powerful young ladies this year! It has been such a blessing to teach them and work with them to improve their voices, but also to build the belief that they can DO ANYTHING! They have desired to shine in a unique way and Friday, April 22nd - we attended the Lonestar Classics Dallas Showcase Choral Competition and placed Sweepstakes Superior 1's from every judge on the panel. In addition they received Outstanding in Class and also took home the GRAND Overall Outstanding Award for the competition. This has only happened once in all of HMS Choral History. In 2011, the Chamber Choir won Grand Overall Outstanding and now these wonderful girls of 2016 have done it again! What an achievement.

TM Studios with Mr. Greg Clancy!

Our amazing day did NOT end at the Choral Competition! We also were so fortunate to visit TM Studios and tour their facility. Mr. Greg Clancy was so kind as to offer his services and tour to our girls and also a very SPECIAL recording opportunity as well! This was absolutely magical. Words can't describe the educational advantage of seeing such an exclusive place for musician professionals. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these girls.
