HV Update 3-22-2024

Thank you to the HSA for all their hard work in making the "Havana Nights" Soiree a huge success! It was a wonderful event and we thank all those who helped make it happen!

Next week is a four day week. School will be closed on Friday, March 29-April 5 for spring break. We will reopen on Monday, April 8th. The Trep$ marketplace is Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm at Hillview and the 4th Grade Bookwormy is Thursday night at 7:00pm.

Stay dry tomorrow and we'll see you back at HV on Monday.

A special THANK YOU to Miss Danielle Buonforte! Miss Danielle is a Registered Dietitian at ShopRite of Lincoln Park who provides free nutrition services to all age groups. Danielle loves to work in the community, especially with children, to help them make healthier choices! This week, Miss Danielle visited the students at Hillview Elementary where they learned about MyPlate and the 5 food groups followed by a healthy breakfast provided in part by ShopRite of Lincoln Park along with our fabulous HSA.

What a night!

We have such an incredible community who turned out to support and raise funds for the students and staff of Hillview. We are eternally grateful for everyone who contributed in making this years soiree a huge success – from all of our amazing sponsors, to all the businesses, organizations and individuals who donated prizes for the event, to all the parents of Hillview students who contributed to the widely popular grade level prizes, to the people who bought tickets and attended, to the Pequannock High School Volunteers who helped make the night run smoothly, and to the entire soiree committee who put it all together and made it happen – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

We would also like to thank Mrs. Stager and the amazing Hillview front office, Mrs. Kane, Mrs. Pepe & Mrs. Esposito who always provide invaluable support to our HSA efforts.

Additionally, our soiree co-chairs, Alexis Hayton & Dina English, would like to expressly thank Krissy Gargiulo, Tara DeLeeuw, Deanna Albert, Lindsay Dammers, Michelle Taylor, Ashley Gaccione, Rachel Flores, Steve and Kristen Zalewski and Maryellen Brucato who were vital in soliciting prizes for the event and Lacey Vitetta and Kristen Amado who put together the beautiful centerpieces.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to those that helped wrap prizes & set up the event the day of: Rachel Caliente, Rachael Jacobi, Kiki Martin, Nicole Dowling, Michelle & Fred Taylor, Tara Barnard, Tara DeLeeuw, Dave Vasilenko, Erik & Tracy Sanders, Ryan English, Mike Hayton, & Steve Zalewski.
