News from Huntertown's Counselors: Mrs. Tracy & Mrs. Bargo
April 2016
Where We've Been
In March, our Huntertown students were filling buckets like crazy! Mrs. Tracy challenged kids during her guidance lessons to Choose a Chore and do something extra at home without being asked or expecting a reward. Did your kiddo live up to the challenge? Email and let us know! Also, Mrs. Bargo's K-Kids promoted Reading Awareness and held a book drive to start our very own Take a Book/Leave a Book Little Library.
Where We're Going
During April, we will focus on Appreciation. Mrs. Tracy will teach students how to fill buckets by showing appreciation to loved ones and helpers (like educators and school staff) and, to support Military Appreciation and the Month of the Military child, we will hold a Care Package Drive to send to our troops overseas and reach out to our military-connected families. If you have other ideas or information for how we can show our appreciation to our military and their children (especially those with a parent or sibling in active service) please email Mrs. Bargo.
Be on the lookout for notes home with more details about the exciting things that will be happening in April!
