Greetings from Groveport Elementary

Dear Groveport Elementary Families,

We still need parents to volunteer to help define what characteristics we hope our Groveport Graduates have when they graduate from Groveport Madison Schools. I know high school graduation may seem like a long way off, but it will be here before you know it. We need at least five individuals from our building to attend a meeting on April 22nd and May 22nd 4:30-6:00 to provide input into the Portrait of a Graduate. Thank you to the three parents who volunteered after receiving the Final Forms email.

Attendance = This week's average attendance was 93.07%. Our goal is 95%, please make sure your child is at school on time each day.

Arrival and Dismissal: Following Groveport Elementary's arrival and dismissal procedures helps to promote the safe movement of students before and after our school day. These procedures also support the safe transition of students from our care to the care of parents. Car Riders - We ask that parents remain in vehicles during drop-off and follow the traffic pattern (see picture below). If you are picking your child up we ask that you park and get out of your car to get your child and walk him/her safely to your car. During times of high traffic flow in our car rider loop and exiting to Main Street this process may be slow, but please be patient and don't cut in line. We feel the extra few minutes these procedures may take are worth the extra effort in keeping our students safe.

Cruiser STAR Awards are given to students by staff members for students who show characteristics of being a Cruiser STAR - Stay Safe, Take Responsibility, Act Respectfully, Reach Goals. Students come to the office and put their gold STAR in our Treasure Box. Every Friday, Mrs. Bray picks 15 - 20 STARs from the Treasure Box and calls those students to the office for a prize. Congratulation - Karen Adjei-Kumi, Milah Wilson, Kayson Mack, Jasmine Taylor-Ward, Jameson Chilton, McKenzie Davis, Zoey Holmes, Yusuf Ly, Sefa Asamoah, Beau Graham, Olivia Hallabrin, Jacob Ellinger, Zarah Lee, Eduardo Serrano Nava, Teagan Whitt, Avery Rich, and Kellan Campbell!
