This month in the library, our students dove into exciting, hands-on learning! Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders became little researchers, using books, videos, and websites to gather fascinating facts about polar animals. 3rd graders explored the magic of poetry, playing with alliteration and onomatopoeia to bring words to life. 4th graders took a deep dive into food choices and the environment, discovering how producers, consumers, and human actions shape ecosystems. 5th graders stepped back in time to experience the hardships of Westward Expansion, uncovering the resilience of pioneers. From curious minds to big discoveries, our library is where learning sparks wonder!

This month, we had our very first Teacher Nominations for the Vending Machine Golden Coin—and the excitement was unforgettable! Teachers handpicked students who have been shining examples of hard work, kindness, and perseverance. These lucky students were surprised in the library with a special golden coin, giving them the chance to choose a brand-new book from our book vending machine! The joy on their faces was priceless, and we can’t wait to see who will earn the next golden coin. Keep up the amazing work!

Our library is especially excited to host two amazing authors, Sally Smith and Mary Jane Torres-Lewis, who will be visiting on March 5th to share their book Menudo at Midnight with our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders. See below to preorder your book today and have it autographed during their visit! It’s going to be a fantastic week full of reading and creativity!
