WHAT'S NEW?
Start of 4th Quarter
Monday, March 17th marks the beginning of the 4th Quarter. Time seems to fly by every school year, and we're excited for our students finish the school year strong! Plus, there's only 9 days of school for our students, and then Spring Break!
With it being the end of the 3rd Quarter, we are again planning on not sending home physical copies of report cards, due to families having access to students' grades through Progress Book. If you would still like a physical copy of your student's 3rd quarter report card, please complete this form and we will send one home.
Please see the End of Course Exam dates below as well. Our teachers will begin concentrating a little more with our students on preparing for these exams, and look for an extra update early next week for more details specifically about our End of Course Exams.
Hope you have a great week!
Prom 2025
SAVE THE DATE: The 2025 Jr/Sr Prom will take place on Saturday, April 19th at the Newport Aquarium, from 7pm - 11pm. Be on the lookout for more information in upcoming weeks!
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
End of Course Exams
The State of Ohio End of Course (EOC) Exams will start in April. Here are the dates for the various assessments that students will take:
April 9th & 10th: ELA 2 (English 10)
April 22nd & 23rd: Math (Algebra 1 and Geometry)
April 29th & 30th: Biology, American History, & Government
Our teachers will be working hard to prepare students for success on each of these exams! Remember that students need to obtain a certain score (684) on the Algebra 1 and the ELA 2 EOC's to meet the "Competency" requirement for graduation in the State of Ohio.
Students can also obtain "seals" towards their "Readiness" requirements for graduation by earning certain scores on the other assessments. Graduation requirements in Ohio can be a little complicated, so please feel free to contact Ms. Posey (our School Counselor) or check out the State website (linked here) for more information. The graduation requirements are also in the 25-26 Course Guide (linked above).
Scholarships
Seniors have been receiving emails from our Counseling Office on a regular basis. Seniors are encouraged to visit our Scholarship Info page (linked here) on the CNE High School site for more information. Don't let these opportunities pass you by!

- Bonus: University of Cincinnati CCP Info Session (a very useful resource!)
LinkedUp Community Partnership Opportunity
A couple of months ago, we shared out preliminary information regarding "LinkedUp," a partnership between CNE HS and the Hamilton County Educational Service Center. This partnership provides students with opportunities to connect with outside, private sector work-based learning opportunities. More specifically, students will have access to various educational and career-related experiences based on their individual career interests through a central link application system.
LinkedUp is ready to take the next step in this process, and that includes having our students/families sign up to be part of this partnership. Please use this link to sign up your student for this opportunity!

Senior Section
This coming Tuesday, we will be having another Senior Class meeting during WIN Bell in the Commons. This will be our next round of very important information for Seniors, and we will also be sending information home to parents/guardians after that meeting, through the mail. This is definitely an exciting time of the year for our Seniors and their families!
Before winter break, we had a Senior Class meeting during WIN bell. If you (or your senior) missed it, here is a link to the slide deck that Ms. Posey shared during that meeting.
Please check this link on a regular basis for all updates concerning Class of 2025 announcements and activities!
