Last week we celebrated National Read Across America Week and honored Dr. Seuss among many other authors and illustrators. Students and teachers dressed up as their favorite book characters, read a variety of genres, had many school visitors for read alouds, and enjoyed a week celebrating the joy of reading! We encourage you to continue to read aloud with and to your students at home before bed (or anytime, really!).
Thank you to all of our volunteers who came in as Mystery Readers throughout the week. It was so special having guests from Central Office and our very own families read aloud to classrooms. We appreciate all you do for our Opequon students!
