Hello!
As we wrap another Teacher Appreciation Week, on behalf of our entire staff, I'd like to extend our gratitude to our PTO. They showed us love and appreciation through food and fun. We saw a lot of parents in the building this week, busy with set up and clean up of some fantastic lunches. We even had a cupcake truck in front of school one day! Thank you for the care you put into this week, and thank you for all the support you show our staff throughout the school year.

Whitefish Bay High School Theater Presents
William Shakespeare’s
Much Ado About Nothing
One of Shakespeare’s most frequently performed comedies, Much Ado About Nothing revolves around two couples — witty Beatrice and Benedick, who publicly proclaim their disdain for each other but fall madly in love; and naïve Hero and Claudio, who fall quickly in love only to be thwarted and then reunited (in both cases, with a bit of help from their friends). But it’s more than just a comedic romp. The play tackles serious themes too: trust and betrayal, power and privilege, gendered expectations around chastity and violence. This is a comedy entangled with a tragedy, where love and justice nevertheless manage to prevail with vigorous joy — a perfect play for our uncertain times.
Come join us for this production that will both fill you with joy and invite you to explore its complex themes long after the curtain has closed!
When: 7:00 on May 17th and 18th & 2:00 on May 19th
Where: Whitefish Bay High School Auditorium
Tickets: $15 for Adults, $10 for Seniors, & $5 for Students
Ticket Information: WFBHSTHEATER.COM
Can’t wait to see you there!

Information about Whooping Cough (Pertussis) from the North Shore Health Department
A small number of Whooping Cough cases have been reported at the High School over the last several weeks. The North Shore Health Department has shared information with our community related to Whooping Cough, or Pertussis.
Measles in Wisconsin
We hope that this message finds you well. The District is writing to inform you of important information related to an increase in measles cases in Wisconsin.
Measles is a highly contagious respiratory virus. It is a serious infection that causes fever, cough, a rash, sore eyes, and occasionally dangerous complications. Measles spreads very easily, so it is important to protect against infection. Getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent measles. Information on the measles vaccine can be found through the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
It is important for you to check your student’s immunization records to make sure they have received two doses of MMR vaccine. You may check your student’s immunization record using the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR). Your student’s health care provider should also have their immunization record.
To be clear, at this time, there have been no confirmed cases of measles in the Whitefish Bay School District. We encourage families to take precautions to avoid measles cases, particularly if your student is not vaccinated against the virus. Should there be a confirmed case of measles in the District, the District Nurse will work closely with the North Shore Health Department and the Wisconsin Immunization Program to determine if there is a need for those without proof of immunity to measles to be excluded.
Additional information on measles and relevant District policies are included below. Should you have any questions, please contact the District Nurse, Allison Heisler at 414-963-3989.
