Our 6th grade students working on thier cell unit. They had the opportunity to observe plant and animal cells in this microscope lab. It was so fun to see their curiosity and wonder on display.

The 7C's class is doing a newspaper for kids, by kids. Each homeroom has a turn to showcase their ideas and interests in this digital format. Enjoy!

Every school day matters and cannot be replicated. Studies show that chronic absenteeism has a negative impact on student learning and can actually cause students to lose skills they have previously attained. Coming in late or leaving impact is still missing vital time on learning. So instead of signing your child out for their birthday, come join them for lunch. Do everything you can to avoid having your child miss school. These are foundational years that can build confidence or create gaps. Our team is here to support you.

Sheriff Donna Buckley is proud to announce that the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Explorer Program will run during the April school vacation week. Thanks to Cape Cod Healthcare, this is a free-of-charge program for students ages 10-14. It will be held Monday, April 21 – Friday, April 25 at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center.

You may already be familiar with the Young Mariner Program at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum, but we’ve made some exciting changes this year—including expanding to a full-day program. This hands-on summer experience is designed for rising 4th–7th graders, allowing kids to explore boating, marine science, conservation, and Cape Cod’s maritime world through engaging STEM activities and on-the-water adventures.

Most importantly, we are committed to making this program accessible to all families by offering:

• Scholarships for those who need financial assistance
• Cape Cod resident discounts to support local families
• A welcoming and inclusive environment, regardless of prior boating experience
