Transition Plus

I hope all of you had time to recharge and rejuvenate this past week. Our work continues as we move forward. It will be important to remember, although this may have been a time for us to recharge, it may have been hard or draining for some of our students and we need to be sensitive to this.

As we move closer to winter break it is important to maintain our structure and routine. This offers stability and comfort to our students. Winter break is going to be over two weeks where some of our students will be struggling to figure out how they will eat and where they will sleep during those two plus weeks.

Our political climate continues to add to the anxiety for us and many of our students too. We need to continue to support our students with our message of T-Plus is a safe place for all. There are many different holidays and celebrations during this time of the year, but it is important to remember not all students have the same belief systems and we need to be thoughtful of this.

Jacob Wire from Valic 403b will be visiting T-Plus on Wednesday 11/30.

There is a sign-up sheet in the staff lounge for those that are interested in meeting with him and learning more about this beenfit.

The We Give campaign begins Monday, Nov. 28, and goes through Friday, Dec. 9. Each year, we strive for the campaign to go better than the previous year. Let’s work together to make this goal a reality.

There will be information placed in your boxes regarding the campaign.

As members of an organization that serves students and families, our employees give back in many ways. We Give is another important way we can support our community. Donations for We Give go to charitable organizations that directly serve MPS students and families. Staff members can also donate to any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization through We Give.
