Sachse Mustang Band UPDATES

It has been a fantastic year so far and I can't believe how quickly this semester is about to fly by! We have just a few more performances left then everyone will be off to their Christmas Break! Make sure to read through the smore as there are several things we need to finish taking care of prior to leaving for the Holidays!

Great News if your student is in one of the groups performing at the National Concert Band Festival coming up in March!!! The district is helping cover student costs for this trip so student fees will change to be paid on the schedule below. Please note that parent chaperones need to adhere to the original cost and payment dates passed out at the first meeting.

Now that marching season is over we will be organizing a big fundraiser to help further cover student and possibly chaperone costs for this trip. Our goal is that students only have to pay one- two of the above payments for this trip If you have suggestions, we'd love for your to reach out to fundraising@sachseband.org

Students should have made the first two payments at this time and chaperones should have paid the first 3 payments at this time. Please double check that your cuttime account is up to date with these payments at this time.

At this time all Cuttime Band Fees should be paid in full. Please make sure that your fees are up to date. You should be seeing SKYWARD fees now and the first $100 of that should be paid in December. Please pay these fees directly in SKYWARD at this time. If you are unable to access your Cuttime Account, please e-mail treasurer@sachseband.org or Mrs. Taylor so we can troubleshoot as needed.

The button below will take you to a sheet that will have all Itineraries for the year. If the tab is blacked out, we don't have information yet to update that schedule. We will estimate times if possible, but be aware they may be adjusted slightly, but that should give you an idea of at least the range of time things will be on those days.

Check back here next week for updates on Solo and Ensemble Solo Selection details. This will be the next big contest for all winds and percussion coming up in the Spring Semester. Students need to select their solos prior to the break and start that preparation.

This year's skyward fees will be added in the next few weeks. Please plan on making your first skyward payment in October. This means that CHARMS/ now Cuttime Fees should be paid in full by the end of this month. The only exception would be those on a different payment plan and new guard or percussion that will still be completing CHARMS fees in October.

Currently eligibility is based on alll 9 week grades. Students who passed all classes or have a waiver for approved Honors courses are ALL eligible starting Monday, October 28, 2024. The last check was at the 6 weeks for those ineligible. Students eligible based on the 9 week grades will remain eligible until the end of the semester.

At this time, we've transitioned all of our music to BEAM for students to access so we can keep the most recent versions of all things available to them. BEAM is through the UDB app and allows students to access music from their phone through this app. If your student has an iPad or tablet, they should be able to put their UDB app on that device and access music as well.
