A note from James Hannon, NAKHE President
Can you feel it in the air? No, not the excitement of autumn, but the excitement that we are only a few more months away from the Annual Conference in Puerto Rico! Please join me in congratulating this years awards/grants winners announced in the newsletter, who we will celebrate in January. If you have not done so already, register, reserve your hotel, and book your flight. Finally, NAKHE elections are underway, please remember to vote, it is good practice for November!
NAKHE 2024 Elections have started.
The 2024 NAKHE elections for the offices of President-elect, Vice President-elect, and Secretary of the association begin Sunday, September 15 and will run through Tuesday, October 15.
Once again, this year, we are using a highly secure online voting website called Election Buddy, which ensures the utmost safety and confidentiality of your votes.
On Sunday, September 15, an email message containing a unique ballot link with a random, secret access key will be emailed to current professional, emeritus, and student members. (Associate and concurrent members do not participate in NAKHE elections.) The "From" name on emails to voters is "National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education."
The voting deadline is 11:45 pm Eastern Time (US & Canada) on Tuesday, October 15.
To vote, voters click on a website link in the email message, access their ballot with their unique access key, and enter their choice for President-elect, Vice President-elect, and Secretary. Rest assured, all votes are confidential and cannot be seen by others, including election administrators. Once voters submit their ballot, a confirmation email is automatically sent to them. Election administrators may view the election results only after the election has ended.
Please be on the lookout for the email containing a unique ballot link and cast your vote! Your opinion matters!
