Academic Decathlon to State!
Congratulations to the Turner Academic Decathlon Team which finished 1st place in the Regional Competition this past weekend. The team has now qualified to advance to the State Competition and will enter that competition ranked 10th in the state and 3rd among all medium sized schools in the state. Here are some of the highlights from Regionals:
Honors
- Mia Rhodus: 2nd place Art, 2nd place Economics, 2nd place Science, 2nd place Social Science, 1st place Speech, 2nd place Overall Honors Scorer

The team also won 1st place in the Super Quiz event.
HOSA to State!
The HOSA- Future Health Professionals Area Competition was held this past weekend. Turner HOSA had 18 students place at the Area Competition with 14 advancing to the HOSA State Competition in Round Rock, Texas. Congratulations to:

Also, for the first time ever, Turner was awarded the Area 2 Spirit Stick! Congratulations to all of those that placed and to those that are advancing to State. Your HOSA Advisors and Officers are extremely proud of your hard work and dedication.

A message from the Turner Project Graduation Committee
Are you sitting down? 2025 has kicked off and that means that our Class of 2026 is just months away from beginning their senior year! I know!!! But, let's get excited as their senior year is going to be filled with memories from Senior Sunrise to Prom to Senior Serve.
One of those memory making events for your student will hopefully be their all night grad party on the night of graduation, hosted by your Turner High School Project Graduation Committee. While it is an incredibly fun night, it also serves a valuable purpose - to save lives one one of the deadliest nights of the year for teens. This event is only made possible by parents and students!
Join us for an information meeting for students and parents for the class of 2026 to learn more about the event and what happens behind the scenes to make it happen.
When: Tuesday, February 18th at 7:30pm
Where: Turner High School Teaching Theater
Who: Turner Students, Parents, Grandparents, Guardians. Focus will be on the class of 2026 event, but other grade levels are welcome to participate.
