A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
Happy Mother's Day to all the Paddock mom's out there. Thank you for all that do you, each and everyday, to raise such wonderful children. While we educate your children at school, you spend a lifetime teaching them and helping them grow into the adults they will become. "Mothers are the greatest teachers. They are teachers of compassion, love, and fearlessness" (~Anonymous). Thank you for all that you do and I hope you all have a great Mother's Day.
Sincerely-
Jason Christ
Principal

PTA Awards
This past Monday, the Paddock PTA was honored at an awards ceremony put on by the Northwest Suburban Council of PTAs. Paddock won 6 different awards for all of the phenomenal events and activities they have put together for our students this school year. Thank you to all of our PTA members that help organize, volunteer, or participate in these events. Without you, this recognition wouldn’t be possible. A special thank you to our PTA president, Steph Sverdlov. Her leadership this year has helped to bring the PTAs vision to reality.
Senior Walks
This Friday, May 17th, former Paddock students that are now seniors at Fremd and Palatine High Schools will come back to visit the school. In their cap and gowns, they will walk the hallways of Paddock while the students cheer them on. This annual event is fun and emotional for the students and families alike.
Field Day
Field Day is Monday, May 20th at Paddock school. On Field Day, students will be spending half of the day outside taking part in fun stations with their class. Please remind you student to dress appropriately for the weather. Additionally, closed toed shoes, a water bottle, and sunscreen are all things to consider depending on the weather that day. If the 20th is rainy, Field Day will be on Tuesday, May 21st.
Palatine Mayor Schwantz Visiting Paddock
On Wednesday, May 15th, Mayor Schwantz, a former Chicago Bear and the current Palatine mayor, will be coming to talk to our 4th grade classes on the importance of being a good citizen. The qualities of being respectful, responsible, and safe standards we hold as Panthers, but also are important qualities in the real-world. The Second-Step curriculum for 4th grade focuses on units of emotion management and problem solving. As an athlete, Mayor Schwantz can speak to these character traits as well as the importance of sportsmanship, commitment, camaraderie, and teamwork; all skills that are also important in education. We are looking forward to Mayor Schwantz inspiring all our young athletes and students!

Intra-District Transfer Requests
Intra-District Transfer requests for the 2024-2025 school year are now being accepted. Under special circumstances and on a very limited basis, parents may request an Intra-District Transfer for their child(ren) from their assigned home school to another school in District 15. To download and complete this request form, follow this link CCSD15 website's intra-district transfer page. Requests will be accepted until June 28th, 2024.
Student Registration
As a reminder, all new and existing District 15 students need to be registered/re-registered for the 2024-2025 school year. It is very important for our families to do this as early as possible so we have accurate student enrollment numbers. These numbers help us determine the number of teachers and other staff Paddock will need for the upcoming school year.
Any students not enrolled or re-enrolled by July 1, 2024, will be unenrolled and will need to contact their school to begin a new registration. Please go to the District 15 registration page to register your student. Call the Paddock main office (847-963-5800) if you have any questions.
