I hope Teacher Appreciation Week has been a fun and well-deserved celebration for each of you. To our exceptional teachers, nurses, child nutrition staff, bus drivers, counselors, special area teachers, teacher assistants, secretaries, administrators, and every department—your unwavering dedication to our amazing students does not go unnoticed. It is through your collective efforts that our school system continues to shine as the best in our great state.

And congratulations to these amazing teachers for being awarded Teacher of the Year at their school!

The NC School of Science and Mathematics is still accepting applications for Summer Accelerator Programs! Early Accelerator is a day program on the NCSSM-Morganton and Durham campuses and at the NC Center for Engineering Technologies (NCCET) in Hickory. Residential programs are held on the NCSSM-Morganton and Durham campuses. Day programs for middle school students at the NCCET in Hickory and online programs as well.

Early Accelerator - day program for rising 5-6th graders on Morganton and Durham campuses (Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3:30 pm)

Summer Accelerator - Residential program for rising 7-12th graders on Morganton and Durham campuses (Sunday 1 pm - Friday 2 pm)

There are also some courses located at the NC Center for Engineering Technologies (NCCET) in Hickory, NC.
