A Note from Mrs. Larson
Dunham Dragons,
As we approach the end of another successful school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible support from our community, staff, and students. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and many memorable moments. We have several exciting events coming up this week that I am thrilled to share with you.
Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair is back and will be held in the Community Room from Tuesday, May 21st to Thursday, May 23rd. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore a wide range of books and foster a love for reading. Parents and guardians are welcome to visit the fair after school Tuesday and Wednesday and at Open House on Thirsday. All proceeds from the Book Fair will go towards enhancing our library collection and supporting literacy programs.
Open House
We are excited to invite you to our Open House on Thursday, May 23rd, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This evening is a wonderful opportunity for you to tour your child’s classroom, see their projects, and meet their teachers. The Open House provides a glimpse into the hard work and creativity our students have put into their studies this year. We look forward to seeing all our families there and celebrating the achievements of our students together.
TK/Kindergarten Field Trip to Silva Farms
Our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students will be embarking on a fun-filled field trip to Silva Farms on Friday, May 24th. This educational trip will give our young learners a hands-on experience with farm life, including a tour of the farm, learning about different animals, and understanding how fruits and vegetables are grown. Please ensure your child comes prepared with comfortable clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and a packed lunch. We are excited for our students to enjoy this engaging and educational adventure!
Westside Relays
Finally, our annual Westside Relays will take place on Monday, May 20th, at Petaluma High. Our 5th and 6th grade students have been practicing diligently and are ready to showcase their athletic skills. This event brings together students from various schools in a friendly competition featuring track and field events. We encourage all families to come out and support our athletes. It’s a day of fun, sportsmanship, and community spirit.
As we wrap up the year, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this school year a success. Let’s make these final days as memorable as the rest of the year has been.
In Partnership,
Mrs. Larson
