11/22/24
Dear Erieview families,
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for our wonderful school community. Your support and involvement make a significant difference in our students' lives, and I am truly thankful for all that you do.
Thank-you for the continued, amazing, generosity from our Erieview community during our Kids in the Community food drive. Our school staff, students and families contributed over 4,370 food items! The winning class was Mrs. Rados fourth grade classroom, but every class in the building, K-4, contributed .
Wishing you and your family a joyous and warm Thanksgiving filled with love and happiness.
Melissa Isaly-Johns

We are still looking for volunteers to help us decorate the halls on Nov 22 and Nov 23. Even if you can only spare an hour on either day, we could really use the extra hands to make our school MERRY & BRIGHT! You can find details and sign up information here:

We are GRATEFUL for Erieview! Spirit Day and Assembly – November 26th
Before we break for Thanksgiving, let’s show our school, teachers, and friends how much we appreciate them! Not only will the winners of our Food Drive be silly stringing Mrs. Isaly-Johns, but we will also be having a fun and interactive SCHOOL SPIRIT assembly! Please have your kids wear their best Erieview/Avon Lake spirit gear to show their school pride! For those that purchased “I Love Erieview” shirts this past week, the PTA will be distributing these to your child in their classroom on Friday 11/22.
Next PTA Meeting: Tuesday, November 12th: 9:30am in the Erieview Cafeteria
Camp Invention® is coming back to Avon Lake!
After earning rave reviews from campers, parents and educators, this action-packed program is returning with a brand new program, Discover! Each experience inspires creativity
and boosts confidence. Register now through Dec. 31, 2024, using code GIFT35 to save, and you’ll be entered to win your registration for free! Visit invent.org/gift for more info.
"Attention pianists and other instrumentalists!
Mrs. Walker is looking for students to share their hard work and musical talent during our Erieview Holiday Concert on December 18th. Each year, I ask that students who are studying piano, or another instrument, play music in between grade levels, while one group is exiting the stage, and the next group is coming onto the stage. It's a great chance for your child to have a little spotlight, and a joy for the audience to hear them play! If your child is interested, please follow the link below to sign them up. I do need to hear them play their song, and there is a place to sign up for that in the form as well. Thank you and I look forward to hearing all of their beautiful music!
COLD WEATHER RECESS POLICY
In the winter months, we strongly recommend that parents provide hats, gloves, waterproof boots and snow pants for their children and require them to wear them during recess. Outside temperature and wind chill are taken into consideration to determine outside recess each day during the winter months. Normally, if the wind chill factor is above 20 degrees Fahrenheit, students will be permitted outdoors.
