A Message From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our annual Winterfest event was the highlight of this cold month! Students and staff traveled to various locations and enjoyed activities that included skiing, snowtubing, ice fishing, roller skating and movies. A big thank you to the staff members who organized this fun-filled event!
The third and final trimester of the 2024-25 school year begins on March 17. As we near the end of the second trimester, please talk with your child about any missing assignments they currently have and how they plan to complete the work prior to the end of the trimester.
I hope you are staying warm and enjoy the upcoming spring break!

Vacation Days
There is no school for Bloomer School District students on Friday, March 7 through Friday, March 14.
Congratulations to Our Students of the Month
WinterFest!
The weather warmed up just enough for our students to enjoy the various WinterFest activities!
Students had several exciting options to choose from.
A group of students went swimming at the Bloomer Aquatic Center and then were off to
Ojibwa Bowl for several games of bowling and a pizza lunch. Another group spent the first half
of their day at Valley Sports Academy and worked up an appetite for the pizza they enjoyed
at Micon Cinema before viewing the movie "Dog Man". A group traveled to Rice Lake where
they strapped on skates at Skate City and enjoyed a pizza lunch. This group relaxed at
Lake 7 Theatre in the afternoon, where they also viewed "Dog Man".
Other students headed to Christie Mountain where some spent the day skiing and others enjoyed snow tubing.
Back by popular demand this year was ice fishing! This group spent the day on Lake Como and enjoyed Fat Boys pizza for lunch.
Thank you to the Bloomer Moose Lodge for opening up their facility for our students to warm up and have lunch.
The largest group of students spent a fun-filled day at Action City where they played
laser tag and video games, rode go-karts and burned off lots of energy in the trampoline park.
Staff and students had a blast at these various locations!
Thank you to the following staff for planning and organizing Winterfest activities...
Ms. Gilane, Ms. Harelstad, Mr. Swartz, Mr. Mickelson, Ms. Bloom, Mr. Lang, and Ms. Boese.
Your time and effort is greatly appreciated!
Solo and Ensemble
On February 5th, Bloomer Middle School hosted its own Solo and Ensemble festival. There were a total of 18 choral events and 19 band events. Judges listened to soloist and small group performances of band and choir students. All students did a great job preparing and have made great gains as student-musicians.
