Thank you for your feedback!
Dear Families,
Thank you to all who took the 2024 Family Survey! Your feedback is a gift and we look forward to reviewing your feedback and sharing themes of celebration and action steps for ongoing improvement later this fall.
At NBAPS, our Viking saga thrives through the accomplishments of our alumni, who carry forward the spirit of exploration and achievement. Our “Alumni Spotlight” has highlighted graduates for achievements in fields like trap shooting, law, advanced degrees, medical science, coaching, and military service. As our community grows, so too does the legacy of those who have passed through our halls. The Alumni Spotlight is loaded with great stories that give students something to aspire to and staff a reason to feel pride in the accomplishments of those they helped succeed.
Do you know a North Branch graduate making waves? We’re eager to hear from you! Share the name of a Viking alum, and together, we’ll continue to chart their successes in the pages of our ongoing Viking saga. Please contact me at spaul@isd138.org so that we can all be inspired by their impact!
Sara Paul
Superintendent

The win-win of manufacturing
October is Manufacturing Month. On October 13, in collaboration with Chisago Lakes, Forest Lake, and Rush City, NBAHS sent over 130 students to eight different manufacturing companies in the area for one hour tours, including WCS Industries , Anderson Windows, Smith Metals (Center City), Plastic Products (Lindstrom), Kendall Howard (Chisago Lakes), Rosenbauer (Wyoming), Regal Manufacturing (Wyoming), and Plastech Corporation (Rush City). Students were exposed to the variety of occupations in the manufacturing industry.
Today, NBAHS Principal Clint Link and Career Navigator Kristin Mayne were keynote speakers at the regional Manufacturing Summit hosted by the East Central Development Partnership. Principal Link spoke about the evolution of schools, our Choice Not Chance vision and why career and technical education is a win-win for students and employers. The Department of Labor and Industry commended our Viking Bridge internship program, and more connections with local industry partners were made.
