Underclassmen Attendance Appeals
Underclassmen who have 10+ absences for the second semester will receive an Attendance Appeal during SRT (with directions on how to complete) on Thursday, May 16 and will be due to the basket in the Main Office on Friday, May 31st.
Failure to return the Attendance appeal results in credit being place on hold for classes over 10 days, UNLESS the student scores a C+ or better on the semester exam. Students whose Attendance Appeal is not granted will be MAILED an Attendance Plan (which needs to be signed and returned to be in effect).
9 Week Attendance Plan (8/20/24 to End of October, 2024)
1. Students who didn't get a C+ on the semester exam,
2. Students who don't return an Attendance Appeal,
3. Students whose Attendance Plan was NOT granted (lack of documentation, insufficient info, etc.)
The PLAN requires students to have no unexcused absences and no more than 3 tardies total for all classes combined for a 9-week period when school is in session (essentially the length of a marking period) in order to have held credit restored.
Remember: Having credit on hold during an Attendance Plan can impact credit standing, athletic eligibility, class standing, GPA, transcripts, etc. until the PLAN requirements have been met.

Time to return textbooks, library books, district issued chrome books as well as make good on any Athletic pay to participate, yearbook late fees, or cafeteria obligations prior to the conclusion of the school year.

Matching Student Scores to College Board Account
If a student is signed into their College Board account but does not see their scores, it may be that College Board was not able to link the student’s College Board account and score report automatically.
For security reasons, a student must verify additional information before scores can be displayed. Students will need the UIC (Unique Identifier Code - available from office) with which they were pre-identified.
To establish a match, the student will:
1. Log into their College Board account (https://prod. idp.collegeboard.org/).
2. Select the Matching Tool
3. Follow the instructions on the screen
4. Select one of the following options: - I can supply my student UIC.
In some cases, students may not be able to view their scores using the steps above. For instance, if the student has inconsistent information on file, multiple College Board accounts, or unreleased scores, the steps above may not resolve the discrepancy.
Contact College Board’s Student SAT Helpline at 866-870-3127 and select Option 2 for additional troubleshooting assistance.

Online Protection for Children
Are your children safe while online? Michigan families, especially minors, are becoming inundated with advertisements from alcohol, tobacco, pornography, illegal drugs and gambling marketers through different internet and cell phone inboxes. To reduce these influences on youth, the State of Michigan offers a free program to stop adult advertisements from reaching e-mails, text messages, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter. The Michigan Child Protection Registry, like the federal Do Not Call List, is a free do-not-contact service for Michigan’s families and can be located at www.ProtectMIChild.com."
