Next Week October 29th

Next Friday October 29th we will be holding our Byam School tradition of our Kindergarten costume parade. Students will be viewing kindergarteners as they parade on our campus. Kindergarten parents will be receiving more information from their homeroom teachers. Please note that sending in candy or other food items for the class is not permitted. We'll be having all kinds of fun as we lead up to Halloween for our students.

Byam School Council

Every public elementary, middle and high school in Massachusetts have a body known as a school council. This council is made up of educators, parents and community members from a a school. The purview for this group is to identify educational needs for the school and develop planning and goals to address these needs. We are looking for some parent volunteers who would be interested in serving on this group. The Byam School Council meets on one evening a month throughout the school year. Please email Mr. Fredette fredettej@chelmsford.k12.ma.us if you have interest in serving or if you have any questions.

Bandingo: Wednesday, November 3, 2021, 6:30pm
BANDINGO SIGN UP IS HERE! $10 first card, $5 for each additional card. Virtual event will be held on 11/3/21 at 6:30 PM. This is a fun evening (at home!) with the whole family. A musical twist on BINGO, with dancing, sing-a-longs, and prizes... all over a virtual Zoom party! Spots are limited for this popular event so sign up ASAP. Charleston Wrap Fall Fundraiser:
Want to start your holiday shopping? Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to buy gifts for your loved ones AND raise money for Byam? Well, you can! The BSA’s fall fundraiser with Charleston Wrap will run from November 1st through the 14th. Stay tuned for more information next week.

🎃 THANK YOU to all who attended the Boo Bash!

Many thanks to our supportive Byam community for a hugely successful event! Together, we raised more than $6000! This will go a long way to help cover the cost of enrichment programming across grade levels! We still need to raise another $9000 to reach our goal for the year, so keep your eyes open for more fun events and fundraisers! Thanks to crew of parent volunteers who took time to plan, sell tickets, hand out pizza and cookies, judges of the trunk-or-treat and pumpkin contests, as well as to those that ran the Cake Walk, and made sure our candy/treat buckets stayed full by running out to the store to get even more candy! Special appreciation goes out to the more than 20 Chelmsford High School student volunteers that helped keep children engaged with games and activities. It is heartwarming to see older students want to be part of a community event for younger students.

In addition, thanks go out to our community sponsors. Our sponsors, in no particular order, include: Brickhouse, KJ's Caffe, Doty’s Diner, Lil Z’s, and Chelmsford Nutrition. Their generous donations allowed us to offer some wonderful prizes. Thanks also to Zesty's Pizza and Especially Sweet Needs for partnering with us to provide pizza and cookies at the Bash. The BSA encourages Byam families to support these local businesses!
