On Wednesday, June 7th, RHS hosted the annual Academic Hall of Fame and Underclassmen Award Ceremony in the auditorium.
The Rockland High School Academic Hall of Fame added three new members on June 7 in a ceremony preceding the Underclassmen Awards presentation.
The inductees were: Dr. Cara Strobel, Class of 2007, Lt. Col. Domingos Robinson, Class of 1991 and Regina Lewis Quirk, Class of 1985.
Dr. Cara Strobel, the first Hall of Famer to be inducted from a 21st Century graduating class was valedictorian of her class in 2007. She graduated from Providence College, and Bridgewater State University before entering Medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. She did her residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY. She now is a Family Medicine physician for the Harvard Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth, Mass.
Lt. Colonel Domingos Robinson, Class of 1991, pursued a career in music after he graduated from Rockland High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Hartwick College and a Masters degree in Conducting from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
In 1998, he won a conducting position with the U.S. Army Bands Program. For the last 25-years, Domingos has led musicians in concerts and ceremonies throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. He currently serves as the Deputy Commander and Assistant Conductor of The United States Army Field Band in Washington, DC.
Regina Lewis Quirk, Class of 1985, graduated from Bridgewater State University with a degree in elementary education. She taught special needs for a few years, then transitioned to the business world. In 2002 Regina joined Strategic Financial Services and later acquired
the practice in 2013. She is now President of Strategic Financial. As a goals based financial professional Regina and her team manage over $250 million dollars in assets, and serve households across the United States with offices in Norwell and Westerly Rhode Island.
Regina is also the President of the Rockland Education Foundationn which raises funds annually to award to teachers for classroom enrichment programs. To date the Foundation has awarded approximately one million dollars to the school system.
