It's almost game time! We wish all of our student and staff players lots of luck as they take on the Harlem Wizards at J.P. Case Middle School tonight. • February 10 - Kindergarten Registration Portal Opens
• February 13 - Board Meeting, 7 PM, J.P. Case Middle School
• February 14 - School Closed - Staff Development Day
• February 17 - School Closed - Presidents' Day
• February 21 - Preschool Lottery Closes
• February 26 - Budget Town Hall Meeting, 6 PM, J.P. Case or Zoom
• February 27 - Board Meeting, 7 PM, J.P. Case Middle School

Kindergarteners must be 5-years-old and 1st-graders must be 6-years-old by 10/01/25 to enroll for the 2025-2026 school year. Online registration is available! Follow these simple steps:

1. Complete a pre-registration form online. The portal will open on February 10, 2025.
2. Download a registration packet, available after you submit your pre-registration form online.
   
3. Completed forms can be dropped off from February 18-21, 2025 at the school for which you are registering.
   
4. In-person registration will be held in each elementary school on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Our Flemington-Raritan Education Foundation is hosting a magic show starring Will Fern on Friday, March 7, at 7 PM at J.P. Case Middle School. Ages 5+ are welcome. Tickets are $10 each. Click here for the event flyer and ticket details.

Voters will be asked to approve increasing the Flemington-Raritan School District budget an additional 4% above the statutory 2% cap; that’s a total increase of $2,388,749 beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. These additional funds will maintain 30 teachers and staff members; Class III Officers in our schools; and J.V. sports at J.P. Case Middle School. • Reading-Fleming Intermediate School and music teacher Aileen Marsh congratulate the following students for their acceptance into the 2025 NJ All State Honor Choir: Ayah Akbar, Gia Criscitiello, Fiona Evans, Rylie LaMaster, Caylee Rake, Revant Senthilkumar, and Claire Soudah! These students will perform with a state-wide choir in May. A special thanks also goes out to all students who put in the time and work to audition. Amazing job, Huskies!
• J.P. Case Middle School and vocal teacher Heather Faherty congratulate the following students for their acceptance into the 2025 NJ All State Honor Choirs: Avni Kakkar, Emmalyn Marky, Keira Farley, Sophie Cain, Kayla MacRitchie, Charlotte Whitely, Julia Muccilli and Jaxon McCann! The students prepared and recorded auditions among 250 students from throughout New Jersey. The concert will be held at J.P. Case on May 3, 2025. Way to go Tigers!
• J.P. Case Middle School band students were accepted into the CJMEA Middle School Honors Band! Their teacher Nora Boccuti congratulates: Sajin Abeysinghe, SaiTanish Patange, Makayla Moss, Karthik Tarigonda, Ashley Veyta Cielo, Max Brice, Samuel Levins, Arth Chopra, Nila Selvisudhakar, Holden Greene and Hayden Bozzo. Students are considered for the group through teacher recommendation and then selected by the CJMEA committee. Way to go, Tigers!

Staff members from Hunterdon Health came to speak with Robert Hunter 4th-graders about the heart, brain, and lungs. They brought real organs for students to examine, including a brain, two hearts, and two sets of lungs. The students learned so much and shared interesting, thoughtful and engaging questions.

At Reading-Fleming Intermediate School, students in Beth Paugh's 6th-grade art expression classes took part in a clay magnet exchange with other schools across the country. Our Huskies designed and created magnets to represent things that grow in New Jersey. Design & Applied Technology Teacher Susan Vala helped students 3D-print cookie cutters and stamps based on students' drawings. Then, students rolled out, cut, and painted 85 magnets to send to schools throughout the nation. The students also voted on their favorite ones and submitted one final magnet into a contest. Congratulations to Natalia Cordoso whose magnet was chosen to represent RFIS in the contest. Also, special shout out to Sophia Compora, Emily Flores Garcia, Stella Claire McCarthy, Owen Williams, and Riley DeBoer for their winning designs as well.

FRSD is a regional, pre-K-8 district serving the children, parents and residents of Flemington Borough and Raritan Township. Our 3,300 students and 600+ certified teachers and support staff are housed in six buildings: four elementary schools (preK-4), an intermediate school (5-6), and a middle school (7-8). The district expanded preschool to more children ages 3 and 4 in January 2024.
