Early Childhood News is an online resource for all current and incoming Klein ISD families. This newsletter will provide you with district resources, upcoming events and ideas that you can utilize at home with your child.

Klein Independent School District operates one licensed childcare facility, as an Early Learning Center (ELC). This location is called Klein ISD ELC at Prairie Oak.

The ELC is available for all children who are either Klein ISD employees or community members. The center provides care for children 18 months to 4 years old. Our mission is to provide an engaging environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive.

24-25 Registration for our EXISTING ELC families opens on April 1, 2024

*New ELC families must complete our Pre-Enrollment Form prior to being approved for registration.

Pre-Kindergarten 4-Years-Old
Klein ISD offers a free, full-day Pre-K 4-year-old program for all students who meet state eligibility requirements and tuition-based Pre-K for all Klein ISD full-time employees whose children do not meet the state eligibility requirements.

Pre-K Registration opens on April 1, 2024.

*If you are in need of before and afterschool care, please contact Campus Kids. There is a fee for this service.

The waitlist form for Klein ISD Tuition-Based Pre-K opens on April 1, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. The waitlist form link can be located on our internal website HERE. Employees will be notified a week or so prior to school starting with their child's placement.
