Irish Gifted Academy
Week of September 15th, 2024
Hey IGA Family!
I hope this letter finds you well! I’m thrilled to celebrate another fantastic week of learning and community at our school. We’ve had such a wonderful time together, and I want to take a moment to thank all the grandparents and family members who joined us for our Grandparents' Event and Book Fair! Your presence made it extra special, and we loved seeing so many smiling faces sharing in the joy of reading with our students. What a heartwarming celebration!
As September is National Literacy Month, I encourage all of our families to continue fostering a love for reading at home. Reading with your child is one of the most important ways to support their academic success. Whether it’s a bedtime story or exploring new topics together, the impact of shared reading experiences is immeasurable.
Looking ahead, we have several big events coming up this Monday! We will be celebrating National Dot Day, a day dedicated to creativity, courage, and collaboration, where students will explore how to "make their mark" and inspire others to do the same. It’s always a fun and colorful day at our school! We are encouraging everyone to wear dots to celebrate.
Also on Monday, we are pumped to host several parent engagement events that you do not want to miss. See the invitations below for additional details. We’re excited to announce the opening of our Dublin City Schools Spirit Store for the school district! Now you can show your school pride with a variety of apparel and accessories. Be sure to check it out and support our school community by visiting --> https://bakerssport.chipply.com/dublincityschools/. You can also visit https://store.ronclarkacademy.com/ to load up on your House System gear and attire for your favorite house!
I also want to take a moment to reassure you that our top priority is the safety and security of every student in our care. We understand that sending your child to school each day requires trust, and we are committed to honoring that trust by providing a safe, secure, and loving environment.
Our staff works diligently to ensure that safety is woven into everything we do—from daily routines to special events. We maintain strict security protocols, including locked doors, and constant supervision. Additionally, we are continually assessing and updating our safety procedures to remain flexible, vigilant, and responsive to any potential concerns. Click here to see the protocols we have in place for Dublin City Schools as well as few reminders for you as a family as well.
Beyond physical safety, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where your child feels supported, loved, and encouraged. Our teachers and staff take great care to build positive relationships with students, ensuring that they not only learn and grow academically but also feel emotionally secure and valued.
Please know that we are here to partner with you every step of the way. We are committed to creating a space where your child can thrive, and we will always prioritize their safety and well-being above all else.
Thank you for your ongoing trust and support. We are honored to work with you and your child every day to create a positive and nurturing learning environment. We are thrilled for another wonderful week of learning, growth, and memories. Thank you for your continued support in making our program such a vibrant and welcoming place for all.
With gratitude,
Mr. Taylor
