Kindness Rocks
Students highlighted important parts of their culture during a back to school social emotional learning activity. They considered identity markers, society values, and traits that make them a unique individual. Then they selected one aspect about themselves and designed a rock around that trait. "Students designed a second rock to support and lift up other identities of students in the school to create a sense of community and belonging," said Teacher Erinn Vincent, who headed up the SEL project.
