Big Brother Big Sisters - Denton
The purpose of the Big Brother Big Sisters program is for each enrolled child to achieve higher aspirations, greater confidence, better relationships, avoidance of risky behaviors and educational success.
National research has shown that being in a positive relationship with a volunteer mentor has a direct and measurable benefit in a child’s life.
Children in the program:
Are more confident
- Are more likely to stay away from drugs and alcohol
- Do better in school
- Get along better with family and friends

Free Summer Meals
The LISD Summer Feeding Interactive Map is updated regularly. See the map for addresses, times and more information here: lisd.net/summermeals.
- Children and teens aged 18 and younger can continue to eat throughout the summer at no cost.
- No form of identification is required, kids simply show up at a participating meal site to eat.
Free and Reduced Program
