1. Earth Week

Monday is the start of Earth Appreciation Week! Peer Leaders will be hosting a senior Lawn event during lunch today, so make sure to come and help us celebrate our beautiful earth!

Tuesday, we are continuing to celebrate our Earth! We challenge you to try using a different form of power for your daily life, like wind, solar, or natural gas, because it can help reduce bad toxins from going into the atmosphere.

Wednesday, our challenge is to decrease our water use. Even though the Earth is 75% water, only 2% of that is usable, so it's important to reduce our water usage. Some ways to do this are to take less time in the shower, fill your pool, or water your lawn every 2 weeks!

Thursday be sure to unplug and/or turn lights off when you leave a room. Every little bit helps!

Friday help clean up campus!

Throw your trash away and help others clean up too!

Peer Leaders wants to remind you that Earth is an amazing place and should be taken very well care of by everything that lives on it! So make sure to care and love our planet!

Staff of the Week - Mr. Javier Acevez!

WSB weekly celebrates a staff member that our students would like to spotlight for their amazing contributions to Great Oak Campus Culture.

This week, WSB would like to nominate Mr. Javier Acevez as staff of the week. Mr. Acevez is one of our special education teachers here at Great Oak, but he also does so much more. He is a positive figure in the lives of his students and Great Oak as a whole. Mr. Acevez is a great part of our staff at Great Oak!

Class of 2025 April Student of the Month - Diego Bugarin-Varela

Congratulations to Diego Bugarin-Varela, Great Oak High School April Student of the Month.

Ava was selected by Great Oak High School for representing areas of S.P.I.R.I.T.

What is the mission of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month Program?

MISSION To bring the community together to honor and praise our local high school seniors for demonstrating character, integrity, love of learning, involvement in school activities, athletics, and community service. Or the ability to overcome challenging life circumstances without compromising their education. The “heartbeat” of Student of the Month is the student who makes a difference in their home, school and community with sincerity and passion. They must be college or trade-school-bound.
