About the Kindergarten Teachers
Mrs. Angie Regali Imus
I am Angie Regali Imus and this is my tenth year teaching kindergarten at West TV and my seventeenth year as a classroom teacher. I am so honored and excited to be a kindergarten teacher at West TV! My goal is to provide a nurturing environment where your child can grow as a learner, learn to love school, and make friends. Outside of the classroom I have a busy home life. I am newly married, and we have five daughters and one son- all graduates/attendees of Beaverton High School! I grew up in Eugene (Go Ducks!) and graduated from the University of Oregon and Pacific University. I love cooking, audio books, running, paddle boarding, camping, gardening, family pets, and teaching kindergarten!
Mrs. Traci Higdon
Hello West TV families! I am Traci Higdon. I have been teaching in the Beaverton School District for over 18 years in grades kindergarten through 4th grade. My goal is to provide a loving and nurturing environment where your child can build relationships and confidence as a reader, writer, and thinker! Outside of school, life is busy raising two boys, ages 10 and 13, and a dog. When I am not a chauffeur or spectator at sporting events, you can catch me running or walking my dog, hills are my favorite! When I have quiet moments, I like to sing, draw, read a good magazine or book, play board games, work in the yard, and hang out at new coffee shops!
Our Kindergarten Teachers and Principal
The School Day
The school day begins at 7:45am and ends at 2:20pm.
All Kindergarten students (along with all other students at West TV) have class with their regular classroom teacher and also have classes with our Specialists: for PE, Music, Library and Technology. Specials classes rotate on a 6 day Schedule (2 days of PE, 2 days of Music, 1 day of Library and 1 day of Technology).
We will have 2 Kindergarten classrooms. Each classroom will likely have 21 to 23 students.
First Day of School
Kindergarten students in the Beaverton School District do not attend school on the first 2 days of school. During these 2 days, the Kindergarten teachers will schedule a time to meet individually with each student and do an assessment. Then half of the Kindergarten students will attend school on Day 3 and the other half on Day 4. All Kindergarten students will attend school on Day 5.
Aug 28 - First Day of School for Students with the last name beginning with A-L
Aug 29 - First Day of School for Students with the last name beginning with M-Z
