HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK!
CTE AWARDS
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department held its first annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 24th! The event was catered by the Culinary Arts students and their teacher Mr. Kevin Marston. The plaques were made by Construction Technology students and their teacher Mr. Dean Poillucci. Engineering teacher Mr. Jason Welch provided the laser engraving for the faceplates on the awards. (Pictured: The amazing food from our Culinary Arts students)
ARMENIAN CULTURAL CELEBRATION
HARVARD ELP
22 Grade 10 students completed the Harvard-Radcliffe Emerging Leader Program (ELP) earlier this week! Over the course of this 12-week program, the students attended weekly sessions at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute. Students were paired with Harvard mentors and spent each session developing public speaking and leadership skills and designing a social change project focused on a local issue they felt passionate about. Congratulations! Here are just a few pictures from the event!
GILLETE STADIUM FIELD TRIP
On April 22nd, Mr. Riley's Digital Video Editing, Public Speaking, Studio TV and Public Speaking students attended a day long trip to Gillette Stadium (Mr. Riley's other job as the voice of the Stadium!) Students were on the field, gave presentations to the Patriots and Revolution Marketing Executives (Example: Pats slogans for 2024 and World Cup ideas for 2026), and worked with their WHS teachers to craft their presentations!
NHS SUPERSTARS
National Honor Society (NHS) students had a successful spring semester! Students created over 500 goodie bags to support Grade 9 and 10 students taking the MCAS tests, offered peer tutoring to students across all subject areas, led a food and clothing drive to benefit the Watertown Food Pantry and More Than Words, and are working on a special surprise for Staff & Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for all of your support in their efforts this year!

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that Ms. Adrienne Eaton will remain on as a permanent Assistant Principal at Watertown High School. It goes without saying that Ms. Eaton has more than stepped up in her role as interim AP, she has crushed it. Ms. Eaton brings to us her years of experience in school counseling and leadership. Ms. Eaton has been eager to learn and lead in her new role and I know this will continue.
We thank Ms. Eaton for her commitment to Watertown High School and look forward to the years ahead under her leadership.
